Frequently Asked Questions

Do you treat children?

Yes! Denton Dental Center is happy to see patients of all ages and entire families. We even offer kid-friendly services, such as dental sealants, fluoride care, and sportsguards for young athletes. Our team looks forward to growing with your son or daughter over the years and helping them enjoy a happy, healthy smile from a young age.

How often do I need to visit the dentist?

In most cases, Dr. Balington recommends that children and adults alike attend checkups/cleanings every six months, or twice each year. This allows us to notice changes in your oral health and identify concerns early on in their development. However, if certain circumstances are present (such as periodontal disease or overly sensitive enamel), we may recommend more frequent visits so that we can provide the level of professional support you and your smile need.

I want to improve the way my smile looks. What are my options?

Several cosmetic services are available to help correct a wide range of dental flaws, including teeth whitening (both in-office and at-home), metal-free restorative work, direct bonding, veneers, and more. Dr. Balington would be happy to meet with you for an initial consultation and help you develop the ideal smile makeover plan!

Visiting the dentist makes me nervous. Can you help?

Of course. We offer nitrous oxide (more commonly known as “laughing gas”), a mild sedative that can help soothe your nerves and create a more pleasant environment for treatment. Our team will always prioritize your comfort and do whatever we can to help patients have a truly positive experience.

Do you see dental emergencies?

Yes! Please call us right away if you’re experiencing severe dental pain or a serious smile injury. Dr. Balington will make time to see your case as soon as possible.

Will you accept my insurance?

Most likely. Our practice is an in-network provider for most major PPO insurance plans, and we will also file claims on the behalf of our patients when needed. To learn more about your financial options, please visit our new patients page or give our Denton, TX office a call.
